This happened. MoneyHunt

Well, according to whatever, MoneyHunt is 25 years old today. What began as a crazy idea in Cablevision’s Public Access studio… and ended as a crazy idea when dot.com founders evaporated in the dot.com crash… was indeed a lot of good TV in the 100+ episodes in between.

The NY Times properly pointed out Cliff and I were not smooth on camera, but it hardly mattered when the pitches began. Forbes added their two cents… the show attracted quite a following (130 stations) because it tapped into the great American fantasy: starting up a business that just might succeed. NPR added some reality … the judgement of new business ideas… is brutal.

I’m grateful that Public Television ever allowed us to do this, that our production team made us look much better than we actually were, and that our investors truly saw the value of it all, slightly offstage.

I mentor two kids and several entrepreneurs. Similarities are coincidental.
